1. Our commitment to accessibility

It's Me is committed to making our job search and recruitment platform usable by as many people as possible, including individuals with disabilities. We believe that equal access to employment opportunities is a fundamental right, and we design our Platform with accessibility as a core principle.

We continually work to improve the accessibility of our Platform by following recognized standards, incorporating user feedback, and staying current with evolving best practices in inclusive design.

This page explains our approach to accessibility, the standards we follow, the features we provide, and how you can share feedback or request assistance.

2. Standards we follow

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, cognitive, and neurological impairments.

We also take into account the requirements of applicable accessibility laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, where relevant to our services.

While we work toward full conformance, we acknowledge that some areas may not yet meet all standards. We treat accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time achievement.

3. Accessibility features

We have implemented the following features to support accessibility:

  • Keyboard navigation: the Platform can be navigated using a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse. Focus indicators are visible to help you track your position on the page.
  • Screen reader support: we use semantic HTML, ARIA landmarks, and descriptive labels to ensure compatibility with popular screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
  • Color contrast: we design with sufficient color contrast ratios to ensure text is readable for users with low vision or color blindness.
  • Text resizing: the Platform supports browser-level text resizing and zoom without loss of content or functionality.
  • Responsive design: layouts adapt to different screen sizes and devices, including mobile phones and tablets, so the Platform is usable across a range of viewing conditions.
  • Form accessibility: forms include clear labels, error messages, and instructions to assist all users in completing them accurately.
  • Alternative text: images and icons include descriptive alternative text where appropriate, or are marked as decorative when they do not convey information.
  • Consistent navigation: the Platform uses predictable, consistent navigation patterns to reduce cognitive load.

4. Third-party content and integrations

Some features of the Platform rely on third-party services, such as authentication providers and video conferencing tools for interviews. While we select partners who share our commitment to accessibility, we cannot fully control the accessibility of third-party content or interfaces. We encourage you to report any issues you encounter so we can work with our partners to address them.

5. Known limitations

Despite our efforts, we acknowledge that the Platform may have accessibility limitations in certain areas. Known limitations include:

  • Some older content or features may not yet be fully optimized for screen readers.
  • Certain third-party integrations may have their own accessibility constraints outside our direct control.
  • Video responses uploaded by users may not always include captions or transcripts, as these are user-generated.
  • We are actively working to address these limitations and prioritize improvements based on user feedback and impact.

6. Accommodations and assistance

If you need assistance accessing any part of the Platform, or if you require an accommodation to apply for a job, participate in an interview, or use any feature, please contact us. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations and will work with you to find an effective solution.

Examples of accommodations we can help with include alternative formats for job postings, assistance with the application process, and support with scheduling or participating in interviews.

7. Feedback and reporting issues

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our Platform. Your input helps us identify issues and prioritize improvements. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, have difficulty using a feature, or have a suggestion, please let us know.

When reporting an issue, please include:

  • A description of the problem you encountered.
  • The page or feature where the issue occurred.
  • The device, browser, and assistive technology you were using, if applicable.
  • Any suggestions you have for improvement.

You can reach us through our Contact page. We take all accessibility reports seriously and will make every effort to respond promptly and address the issue.

8. Ongoing improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing priority for It's Me. We regularly review our Platform, conduct audits, train our team, and incorporate feedback to ensure we continue to improve. We are committed to making the job search and hiring process more inclusive for everyone.
